Queen Elizabeth II pays tribute to King George VI for Father's Day
Queen Elizabeth II did not forget her father on this Father's Day.
Her Majesty's communications department has chosen to publish a sepia-toned photo on the Theroyalfamily Instagram account where the queen, then quite simply a princess, is with her father, King George VI.
The photo dates from the spring or summer of 1946. Elizabeth was then 20 years old and smiled broadly at her father, who also smiled at her.
