The "Comedy Knight" Medal for artist Samir Ghanem and artist Dalal Abdel Aziz

The management of the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries, which is in its 38th session, announced the award of the “Knight of Comedy” medal to the name of the late great artist Samir Ghanem and his wife, the late artist Dalal Abdel Aziz, during the opening ceremony of the festival, which is held in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and its activities continue from October 5-10, Headed by film critic Prince Abaza.

The medal will be received by the daughter of the late artists, artist Donia Samir Ghanem, who will receive a special honor in the same ceremony;

Critic Prince Abaza, head of the festival, confirmed that honoring Donia Samir Ghanem was decided to be during the opening ceremony of the thirty-eighth session of the festival, in the presence of the great artist Mahmoud Hamida, whose name the next session bears;

In appreciation of his great cinematic gift, in the presence of a large crowd of Egyptian, Arab and Mediterranean filmmakers.

Donia Samir Ghanem is one of the most prominent stars of Egyptian cinema and TV drama, which emphasized her great talent with the work she presented. Her talent on the scene, with a performance befitting her belonging to an artistic family that gained the respect of the Arab masses, which was inspired by the presence, lightness and distinction of the great comedian Samir Ghanem, and the sincerity, talent and giving of the star Dalal Abdel Aziz, with a total of 45 works, which varied between cinema, television and radio;
