On June 18, affected by heavy rainfall, a debris flow occurred in Qundantun, Gudu Village, Xiangfen Township, Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi.

At present, the on-site search and rescue is still in progress. Armed police soldiers and fire rescue personnel are looking for missing persons in the mudslide.

As of press time, four missing persons have been found, all of whom have been killed.

One missing person remains undiscovered.

  A reporter from China News Agency rushed from downtown Liuzhou to Qundantun, Gudu Village, Xiangfen Township, Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, where the incident occurred.

The reporter arrived at the outskirts of Qundan Tun at 12:00, and then walked two hours to the severely damaged Qundan Tun.

  The reporter saw at the scene that because the incident happened in a mountainous area, there were a large number of boulders mixed with muddy water, which were washed down from the ravine along the streams and torrents.

The village was directly under the flash flood, so it suffered serious damage.

At the scene, houses collapsed, rocks were jagged, and a large number of civilian materials were scattered everywhere.

A large number of rescue workers such as armed police and firefighters are cleaning up various stones, wood and bamboo with their bare hands or with utensils.

  It is reported that the torrential rain has caused flash floods and road collapses. Xiangfen Township has been without power since the evening of the 17th, and communication signals have also been affected to a certain extent. Emergency connections are being made.

At present, the power supply department has dispatched a generator car and transported two generators on the way, which can meet the basic electricity needs of residents in Xiangfen Township.
