The Congolese rumba, or navel dance, was listed in December 2021 by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Sappers from both banks of the Congo River hailed this inscription, in Brazzaville, on the occasion of cultural events marking the month of Europe.
From now on, they want the Sape to also have this privilege, because it and the rumba are linked and complement each other.
