Ten years after being simultaneously affected by ptosis (deficiency of the levator muscle of the eyelid) and ophthalmoplegia (paralysis of eye movement), Jean-Michel no longer makes much of it.

Firstly because four surgeries have enabled him to reduce his visual impairment (by “raising” his eyelids), then because this lively teenager has “learned to live with it”... and even exposes it, with a lot of self-mockery, on social networks.

“A disability makes you unique”

He thus confesses that talking about his illness on the TikTok platform is important for him … but also for some of his subscribers: “all the people who are sick, I encourage them to ignore criticism, etc.

Let them move forward, because it's part of them and it makes them unique people.
