Last month, police seized a room in an apartment complex in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, where about 460 kg of dried cannabis, worth 2.8 billion yen, was found stored.

Police have arrested three people, including a gangster executive, on suspicion of possessing cannabis for commercial purposes, and are investigating the acquisition route.

All of the arrested were Sumiyoshi-kai gangster executives, Kodaira Eikichi (41), Sugaya Norifumi (33), and member Ken Matsushita (32) in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture.

According to police, the three were suspected of violating the Cannabis Control Law on the 31st of last month, alleging that they had more than 300 grams of dried cannabis for commercial purposes in a room in an apartment complex in Sayama City.

According to the investigation so far, about 465 kg of dried cannabis in a bag and the equivalent of 2.79 billion yen at the end of the trafficking price were found in this room and car, and the police seized it.
