Kinder production resumes.

Closed since April 8, the Ferrero factory in Arlon (south) in Belgium received the green light from health authorities on Friday to resume chocolate production.

But after the scandal of chocolates contaminated with salmonella, this recovery will be done under close surveillance, with a test period of three months.

“During this period, the raw materials, as well as each batch of foodstuffs produced, will be analysed.

It is only if these analyzes give a compliant result that the products can be placed on the market, ”said the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (Afsca) in a press release.

The Italian giant has confirmed that it has received this "conditional authorization" to restart.
