From Millau in Aveyron to Dinard in Ille-et-Vilaine, via Cognac in Charente, monthly temperature records were broken this Friday, announced Météo-France.

The thermometer climbed to 37.3°C in Millau, beating the previous record of June 2019. In Carcassonne (Aude) the mercury rose to 40.4°C, against 39.8°C on June 21, 2003. In Dinard , it was 35.5°C against 33.8°C in June 2019, and in Cognac 38.9°C against 38.2°C on June 30, 1952.
