Morocco launches an electric car for mail distribution.. a completely local industry

Morocco launched this week 225 electric vehicles dedicated exclusively to the distribution of mail and parcels.

In a new step towards preserving the environment and reducing emissions.

The project to launch electric cars for mail distribution in Morocco comes as an alternative to motorcycles and cars, and the new electric vehicles bearing the "Citroen AMI" brand, were entirely locally designed by the "Stellants" company in Kenitra, in the west of the country.

And the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade published, on its pages on social networking sites, details of the new vehicles, as these cars, for which the yellow color was chosen, obtain an autonomy of up to 75 km, while the time required to fully charge them does not exceed 3 hours.

"This event represents a wedding, from now on, the women and men of the establishment will distribute mail throughout the kingdom with an electric car designed and manufactured in Morocco," said Minister of Industry and Trade, Riyad Mazour, according to "Sky News Arabia."

The government official expressed his pride that these vehicles are Moroccan-made, and because this step once again demonstrates the strength of the Moroccan industry, which was able to enter the electric car market from its wide door.

It should be noted that the new electric vehicles will be used by Maghreb Post in 42 cities across the Kingdom, and their distribution to these entities is subject to the standard of mail and parcel distribution in each city.
