Mabrouk Attia attacks Najla Fathi for accusing Adel Imam of spreading corruption

The Egyptian preacher, Mabrouk Attia, attacked the artist, Naglaa Fathi, against the background of accusing the great artist, Adel Imam, of "spreading and promoting corruption" in society through his works.

Attia said through a video that he posted on his official account on the social networking site “Facebook”: "Do you think that his art has spread corruption for 40 years... Where were you from 40 years ago?... My sermons, why, are you alarmed? Why?" Boy alert him, he will remain innocent.”

He added: "I do not have a call for art or artists, and I do not have a call for an idea, and that this speech is out of its time, and it will not fix what has gone and will not return it."

It is noteworthy that an audio recording by the artist Najlaa Fathi about the artist, Adel Imam, in which she described spreading corruption 40 years ago, sparked a storm of controversy.

Director Khader Mohamed Khader, husband of the artist's daughter, Naglaa Fathi, confirmed that this recording is old since 2011, denouncing the excerpt from its context and its unjustified time.

Producer Essam Imam, brother of the artist, Adel Imam, denied the existence of any dispute with the artist, Najla Fathi, or taking any legal action against her after the audio recording spread.
