There will be change for the fortieth year of Prince William.

According to the

Times

, the future king of England and his family have decided to leave London and their apartments in Kensington Palace to be closer to the queen, in Windsor.

Elizabeth II now spends most of her time there and it is during the summer that the whole family should move to settle on the estate, near the castle.

For the publication, there is no doubt that this change is linked to the health of the monarch, and the prospect, more and more evident, that William will soon have to take on more and more responsibilities.

“He feels the future is coming to him, which is a source of deep sadness – although he will never say so publicly – as it involves the disappearance of his grandmother, additional pressure on his father and his family who are even more watched.

He knows the future of the monarchy rests on his shoulders, those of Catherine and their children, and that's a lot of pressure,” a friend of the prince, who remained unnamed

, told The

Times .

Less limited

The other reason for this move is linked to the first: Prince William wants, before he takes on the responsibilities incumbent on him, to “enjoy” these few years with his family.

Living in London means, for the couple and their three young children, that they must constantly protect themselves from the outside.

“The reality is that they are quite limited in what they can do in London.

Children cannot go to the park and play football with their friends.

Their plan is to stay here for the next 10 or 15 years and then move to Anmer, which is so special to them,” William's famous “friend” added.

“Anmer” is Anmer Hall, the property of Norfolk, which they use as a country house, but which would become, after their children's schooling, their “permanent base”.

In the meantime, they will continue to commute back and forth between Windsor and Kensington, where they keep their offices and communications team.
