An official source reveals the cause of poisoning cases from peaches and watermelons in Egypt

The Director of the Climate Change Center at the Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt, Mohamed Fahim, revealed the reasons for the poisoning of citizens from the fruits of peaches and watermelons.

Fahim added, during a telephone interview on the "New Egypt" program, that these two fruits are summer fruits, regardless of the rest of the fruit, explaining that the poor storage of watermelons and plums after harvest, as they are placed at the merchant at a high temperature, is behind the poisoning cases that It appeared during the last period, according to "Al-Masry Al-Youm".

He stressed that the Ministry of Agriculture collected random samples of watermelons and peaches, to find out whether there are pesticide residues or not? He explained, as a result of the analysis, that the pesticide residues are the minimum allowed only for export and not for local production, which is natural and harmless.
