His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on the occasion of the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, the edifice of knowledge inaugurated by His Highness the day before yesterday, directed the distribution of three million books to schools in the Arab world in order to establish a culture of reading among future generations of students.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on his account on Twitter yesterday, said: "Yesterday we opened the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, the newest Arab library... Today we directed the distribution of three million books to thousands of schools in our Arab world in support of reading... The library’s message is Arab, and its positive effects will extend to the region, God willing.. We have a reading challenge that includes 22 million Arab students to support the library’s mission.”
