Pete Doherty announces the recording of a Libertines album in Jamaica
If the Libertines rocked your adolescence in the early 2000s, you will be delighted with the news recently given by Pete Doherty!
The singer, who seems to be doing much better since he replaced heroin with Camembert, has indeed announced that the group will record a new album in Jamaica!
Asked by the Guardian, the musician claims to be on good terms with his enemy brother Carl Barât, and that the recording will therefore be done abroad.
“We think we still have things to sort out, and there are a lot of songs to write.
But Carl doesn't want to do it in England, or France, which he considers home.
So the plan is to try and go to Jamaica and do a new Libertines album.
The group celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year.
He will be at the Motocultor Festival in Brittany this summer, and at the Zénith in Paris on October 24th.
