  Recently, archaeologists have mainly excavated two sacrificial pits No. 7 and No. 8. Since yesterday, the key work has focused on the extraction of a bronze altar in pit No. 8 in the Sanxingdui sacrificial area. The upper half of the bronze altar has been extracted yesterday. , and continue to extract the hollowed-out decorative base of the lower half of the bronze altar today.

Overall, the excavation of Pit 8 is over halfway through, and the excavation of Pit 7 has entered the final stage.

Pit No. 7 contains a large number of bronze fragments and jade objects. Pit No. 5 and No. 6 have been extracted as a whole and entered into the laboratory for excavation. In addition, the earliest excavations of No. 3 and No. 4 have been excavated and are now in a sealed state.

  The archaeological excavation area of ​​this round of Sanxingdui sacrificial area exceeds 1,200 square meters. The two pits 1 and 2 have been excavated in 1986. The six pits 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are the only ones in this round of archaeological excavations. started.
