The Pass Jeune TER de France is over.

The system, set up in 2020, allowed 12-25 year olds to travel "unlimited on the entire TER network", in July and August, for 29 euros per month.

A very attractive offer which had been launched after the first confinement.

The goal ?

The operation had also been a real success: according to the SNCF, 70,000 passes had been sold in the first year, greatly exceeding the target of 10,000 passes that had been set.

The decision is difficult to pass with Internet users who express their dissatisfaction by sharing the hashtag #RendezLePassTER.

"All the countries of Europe are launching ultra-attractive prices for their TC, and we are not even damned to maintain a TER pass at 29 euros", writes one of them on Twitter.

“While Germany offers its ticket at 9 euros valid unlimited on almost all transport in the country, we in France had the same thing but, we delete it”, underlines another Internet user.

More than 12,500 people have signed the online petition "for the renewal of the Pass Jeune TER de France in 2022", launched by a high school student from Nice.
