A relief especially for farmers.

The state of natural disaster has been recognized for several municipalities which suffered damage linked to floods and mudslides during bad weather in early June in around twenty departments, according to the Official Journal on Sunday.

The Ministers of the Economy, the Interior and the Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts have recognized the state of natural disaster for municipalities in Allier, Côtes d'Armor, Creuse, Eure, Eure-et-Loir, Gers, Indre-et-Loire, Loir-et-Cher, Loiret, Manche, Oise, Sarthe, Seine-Maritime, Yvelines, Deux-Sèvres, Haute-Vienne, Yonne and Essonne.

One dead and fifteen injured

The violent storms which crossed France on June 4 and 5 left one dead and fifteen injured and caused significant agricultural damage.

Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin had stressed that it was "the first time in twenty years" that such a vast part of the territory was crossed simultaneously by storms, with 65 departments affected.
