According to the Tokyo Fire Department, 30 fire engines rushed to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished after 6 am, so there was no danger of the fire spreading to the surrounding area.

The fire burned the outdoor unit of the air conditioner and bicycles on the balcony, injuring a total of four people, including residents and security guards.

Of these, three men and women in their teens to 40s smoked and were taken to the hospital, but they are all conscious.

The site is an area where high-rise condominiums are lined up about 400 meters southeast of Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line.

A resident man living on the upper floors of the condominium where the fire broke out said, "I didn't notice it when I was sleeping at first, but I evacuated because the smoke was getting worse. When I went down from the upper floor, I evacuated. The smoke was especially bad near the 18th floor where there was a fire. "

Also, a woman in her 70s who lives in the building opposite the apartment where the fire broke, said, "I noticed the fire with the sound of a loud siren. When I saw it, I saw white smoke swirling around the apartment. The smoke gradually turned black. It would be difficult to evacuate, and since I live in the same high-rise condominium, I was afraid of a fire. "
