Recently, the reporter learned from the Tianjin Cultural Heritage Protection Center that in May 2022, with the approval of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the Tianjin Cultural Heritage Protection Center and the Jizhou District Cultural Heritage Protection Center will conduct an official archaeological excavation of the North Cemetery of Baimaquan Village. More than 30 tombs of the Eastern Han, Tang, Liao and Ming and Qing dynasties have been cleaned up, and nearly 200 cultural relics specimens of various types have been unearthed.

The number of Tang and Liao (Song) tombs found in Tianjin area is relatively small. This archaeological exploration focused on finding nearly 20 Tang and Liao tombs at one time. The basic shape and structure of the tombs are clear, and the characteristics of the unearthed relics are obvious. The archaeological chronology scale and comprehensive research of the tombs of the Liao Dynasty provide rare physical data.
