Under the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the volunteer team of the Civil Service Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Volunteer Team of the Administrative Officers Association, a group of more than 50 people, went to different places on the outlying islands on the 11th, incarnate "vaccine to the home" "Vaccination Service" volunteers, working with outreach medical staff to assist the elderly and citizens with special needs to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

  Hong Kong's "Home Vaccination Service" targets some elderly people aged 70 or above who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19, or people with reduced mobility due to illness or disability.

So far, a total of 1,004 teams from different medical institutions or groups have come to vaccinate more than 19,300 people against COVID-19.

Volunteers assist outreaching healthcare workers to expedite and streamline the vaccination process.

  On the 11th, the outreach team went to Mui Wo on Lantau Island, Tai O, Peng Chau, Cheung Chau, Lamma Island and other areas to vaccinate citizens in need.

The Secretary for the Civil Service of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Mr. Nip Tak-kuen, and volunteers went to Peng Chau and Lamma Island to serve the elderly together with the outreach pair.

  Nie Dequan said that about 120 people were vaccinated that day through the "vaccine home vaccination service".

The outreach team goes far and wide to protect the health of the public. The beneficiaries also welcome the arrival of the outreach team and feel the enthusiasm of the medical staff and volunteers.

  "I hope that the public can also feel the efforts of various parties, the dedication and love of the government, local people, medical staff and volunteers, and get the third dose of the new crown vaccine in time." He said.

  It is reported that Hong Kong seniors aged 70 or above who have not been vaccinated against the new crown, or persons with reduced mobility due to illness or disability, can register for free door-to-door vaccination services through the "Home Vaccination Service" website or the enquiry hotline.
