China News Service, Chengdu, June 10 (Reporter Liu Zhongjun) The reporter learned from the Sichuan Provincial Emergency Management Department on the 10th that multiple earthquakes occurred in Malkang City, Aba Prefecture, the province, and 25,790 people have been transferred and resettled.

  On June 10, an earthquake of magnitude 5.8, 6.0 and 5.2 occurred successively in Caodeng Township, Malkang City, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. By 8:00 on the 10th, a total of 11 earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or above had occurred. The epicenter was located in Caodeng Township, Malkang City. Light rain continued to fall in the earthquake area.

One person was injured in the earthquake, but no casualties have been reported.

  After the earthquake, the Sichuan Provincial Earthquake Relief Headquarters quickly launched a three-level earthquake emergency response, and urgently dispatched Aba Prefecture, Malkang City and other places to understand the disaster situation.

At the same time, the Sichuan Provincial Emergency Management Department sent a working group led by the department to the epicenter to guide the earthquake relief work, and dispatched five emergency rescue teams including the Provincial Fire Rescue Corps, the Provincial Forest Fire Corps, the Armed Police Corps, the Provincial Military Region, and the Provincial Emergency Rescue Information Center. A total of 1,314 people and 180 sets of vehicles (equipment) were sent to the disaster area for rescue; more than 4,600 rescuers have been assembled in 7 counties around Malkang City, including Xiaojin, Lixian, and Hongyuan.

  At present, 40 resettlement sites have been set up in 5 townships (towns) near the epicenter of Malkang City, 13 emergency shelters have been opened, emergency relief tents, quilts, lighting and other materials have been called to the front, and 25,790 people have been urgently transferred and resettled.
