DRC: where is the monument to the dead of Lubumbashi?

In Lubumbashi, the war memorial is not known to younger generations.

However, it was built around 1930 in the heart of the city as a tribute to the soldiers who fell during the First and Second World Wars.

But this monument, which recalls the history of the city, has undergone several transformations.

Today, it serves as a pedestal on which is placed the statue of Moïse Tshombe, a political figure from Katanga, which, for researchers, raises the question of collective memory.
