  Children's toiletries are gentler

With the growth of market consumer demand and the continuous refinement of the classification field, children's toiletries are also derived on the basis of the original toiletries.

Why is mildness and non-irritating a common feature of children's toiletries?

Wang Wenqiang, an engineer at the National Cosmetics Quality Inspection and Testing Center of Jiangsu Quality Inspection Institute, said that due to the poor barrier function of children's skin, children's toiletries pay more attention to the mildness and moisturizing properties of products, aiming to help children consolidate the skin barrier.

For example, in the national standard, the technical requirements for the ph value of the physical and chemical indicators of adult shampoo products are 4.0-9.0, while that of children's products is 4.0-8.0; The product is 4.0-8.5.

Children's toiletries have low cleaning power and are not suitable for adults

The hygienic index of "Cosmetics Safety Technical Specifications" stipulates that the limit of total bacterial count of children's products is 500cfu/mL, which is lower than the limit of 1000cfu/mL of adult products.

At the same time, it is also stipulated in the restricted substances that salicylic acid with antiseptic function shall not be used in toiletries other than shampoo for children under three years old. Do not use by children.

It can be seen from this that the country's requirements for children's toiletries are also reflected in safer, milder and less irritating.

Because of this, some women favor children's toiletries.

However, Wang Wenqiang reminded consumers that milder children's toiletries also sacrifice some decontamination capabilities.

For example, the national standard stipulates that the total effective substance of adult toiletries should not be less than 10%, and the requirement of children's toiletries in this indicator is not less than 7%, and the total effective substance is an important standard to measure the cleaning effect of cleaning products.

Infants and young children prefer physical sun protection

It is summer now, and many parents are also very concerned about how to protect their children from the sun.

Quality inspection experts remind parents that because newborns have less demand for outdoor activities, and babies under 6 months of age have delicate skin, sunscreen products are more prone to adverse reactions, so sunscreen products should not be used.

Avoid going out during direct sunlight (10:00 am to 2:00 pm every day). If you need to go out, try to wear a hat, umbrella, and light-colored cotton clothing to cover the sun.

For infants from 6 months old to 2 years old, it is still mainly used to cover sunscreen with clothing, and physical sunscreen products within SPF10/PA+ can also be used, preferably cream products.
