Police are proceeding with confirmation of their identities, considering that they are missing elementary school students who were washed away in the Uji River in Kyoto City on the 5th of this month due to their height and the characteristics of their clothes.

Around 4 pm on the 10th, a man fishing in the Yodo River in Higashikanmaki, Takatsuki City, Osaka, said, "There is a person who died on his stomach in the river," reported to the police.



Police confirmed that a child-like body was found in the river, and he was about 1 meter and 60 centimeters tall and wore camouflage shorts.



Police are confirming their identities as an 11-year-old 6th grade boy who was lost in the Uji River in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City on the 5th of this month due to his height and clothing characteristics.



The Uji River merges with other rivers and connects to the Yodo River, and the place where the body was found is about 11 kilometers in a straight line from the area where the body was lost.
