At a temple in Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture, "Summer Solstice Kannon", where the sunlight hitting the rock surface looks like Kannon, has appeared, and locals and others are visiting to worship.

"Summer Solstice Kannon" can be seen at a temple called "Tounzan" in Sakate, Shodoshima-cho.

Every year around the summer solstice, the sunlight that hits the rock surface through the gaps between the rocks in the precincts looks like a Kannon with a scepter, so it is popular as the "Summer Solstice Kannon".

Since the shape changes depending on the height of the sun, you can see Kannon about 3 meters high around 3 pm on a sunny day, and the time is limited to about 5 minutes a day. ..

It was fine from the morning on that day, and about 30 people came to worship before 3:00 pm, and when Kannon appeared, I took a picture of it.

A woman living in Shodoshima said, "I'm local, but I was impressed when she saw her for the first time in her life. She felt the power of nature."

Another man said, "I was grateful that it emerged beautifully through the lens. I'm glad I could see Kannon-sama."

"Summer Solstice Kannon" can be seen on sunny days until mid-July.
