[Explanation] On June 8, the famous performing artist Lan Lanye died of illness at his home in Beijing at the age of 95.
Tan Li, the son of the famous Peking Opera master Tan Yuanshou, said in an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency that Lan Lao and the Tan family had been friends for four generations. He was very saddened to hear the news of his death, and recalled to reporters how he got along with Lan Lao.

Teacher Lantian Ye and I were friends with each other. We went to his house. We chatted for a long time, from one o'clock to the evening.
Lan Lao, I think he stands tall, and we are far away, but I didn't expect him to chat and laugh when sitting together, which can shorten the distance between you and him, and make you really feel a kind of intimacy, wherever you go, whoever As soon as you say hello to him, whoever calls him, he immediately shakes hands and chats with others, which is very approachable.
[Explanation] Lan Lanye has created countless classic characters in his life, and is known as the master of the drama world. At the same time, he is also a senior Peking Opera fan with "93 years of play age".
Tan Li once said that Lan Laoyi loves Beijing opera very much, and he has watched four generations of the Tan family's operas, and the time spans a span of a thousand years.

My father went to see their dramas to Renyi. Teacher Lantianye and Renyi were very young at that time. They went to see Peking Opera in the theater of Peking Opera, and they learned from each other some things in art.
Including 2017, when we were commemorating the 170th anniversary of our ancestors, Teacher Lan Lan watched several plays. He said that he had not seen enough in his life. Although these plays have been replaced by several generations, he felt that this one in Peking Opera Art is so nutritious that we still need to absorb nutrients from Peking Opera and use it in our dramas.

Tan Li once said that Lan Lanye has carried the banner of Chinese drama and led the generation of young actors to shine for China's drama career.
