Perpetrator of the horrific Qena massacre: This is why I committed my crime

The perpetrator of the Qena family massacre in Egypt confessed to the investigation authorities that he had committed the incident, in which 5 members of his family were killed and his mother was shot.

The accused said before the investigation authorities that his father used to treat him badly, and he always refused to give him money, unlike his treatment of his brothers, the last of which was his request for money to complete the construction of a new house, but his father also refused.

He added that on the night of the incident he was in a state of agitation and anger, due to the repeated ill-treatment, adding: I used a machine gun and aimed fire at my family, which led to the death of my father and 4 of my brothers, and my mother was shot.

Last Monday, the village of Abu Manna, in the Qena governorate, witnessed a heinous murder after a worker fired shots at his family, killing his father and 4 of his brothers and injuring his mother with gunshot wounds to the legs, and she was transferred to Qena General Hospital.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused had been taking shabu for several months, and had always been in conflict with his family over the division of the inheritance in his parents' lives, to spend on shabu.
