Perhaps the sweetest telephone rings and the most precious to your heart are the ones that I once told you that you are a manager, and that tomorrow is your first day on a journey of responsibility that is only satisfied with success and prosperity;

Today, you are the captain of the ship, and you must sail it to safety.

Like any person who has been promoted to a senior management position, you will find yourself facing a reality that imposes new challenges on you;

That is, your sailing today is not easy, and your new position, although it is a reward for the journey, but it also brings with it its great share of fatigue and difficulty in making a decision.

The correct saying is that the biggest and most severe transformation that a person may face in his professional career is his first leadership role in an institution or establishment;

This has been emphasized by many international researches and studies;

One of them even conducted a survey that concluded that 20% of “first-time managers” were unsuccessful when making their first decisions, which affected their organizations to a large extent.

The challenges here are many and very complex, and the lines of this article may not be enough to delve into them, but we can list and review some of them.

Some of the personality traits required when moving from a mere co-worker to a boss requires respect and appreciation, including the ability to inspire, influence, encourage and motivate employees;

As well as the availability of leadership and constructive communication skills, leading to building and directing the appropriate team and dealing with all weaknesses, slackness and conflicts that may affect it;

The most important thing is having sufficient experience, proactive vision, and achieving a deep understanding of the organization's structure, its business or service structure, as well as its organizational strategies and policies.

The new manager must be a leader and a productive employee at the same time. He must neither theorize nor belittle the opinions of others, but rather work, have insight and the ability to address all difficulties, meaning that he must walk the organization in the path of success, no matter how circumstances change and circumstances change.

To be brief, we conclude with our solutions and proposals, and let us first start with managing the work team, which is a difficult and arduous task;

Today, you are managing different personalities with multiple experiences and you do not know who to trust, and some team members may have more experience than you, and you have to be a manager for all of them;

And since you're a new manager, you inevitably fall into one of two categories;

Either you are from the heart of the institution knowing all its secrets and secrets, and then you are on the path;

Or you can be from outside it, and here you have to redouble efforts to get to know all of the above, and you must have advisors to support you in the management journey, and partners that enhance your experience and your understanding of the balance of power;

No wonder that continuous management training is the potential energy stored in any new manager, especially if it is introduced early in his career;

The essence does not flourish except at the stake, and he who was fully prepared and ready, is the only one who can answer the aforementioned call, and he will inevitably expect other calls after which it will move him from high to higher.
