According to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, the Chinese marine research vessel "Toho Beni 3" is a crane on the deck for four consecutive days until the 7th in Japan's exclusive economic zone, about 70km north of Ishigaki Island. It was confirmed that the observation equipment, which is highly likely, was thrown into the sea.



The Japan Coast Guard Headquarters repeatedly requested the patrol boat to cancel the investigation without the consent of Japan by radio, but there was no response from the investigation vessel.



The research vessel recovered the observation equipment that was put into the sea at around 0:30 pm on the 7th and started sailing northward, and at around 3:25 am on the 8th, the midnight line between Japan and China was started. It means that you have left the crossing sea area.



According to the Japan Coast Guard Headquarters, such activities by Chinese marine research vessels have been confirmed in Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone off the coast of Ishigaki Island since July 2018, four years ago.
