To cope with too long file processing times, CAF de la Drôme has decided to close its agencies from June 9 to 21 inclusive.

This major closure will allow around twenty reception agents to come and lend a hand to their colleagues to move the files forward, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche

Currently, the processing time for files is twenty days in the department, four days longer than in the neighboring department, Ardèche.

“Our objective is to reduce our current result by two days,” explains the deputy director of CAF Drôme, Jonathan Wino.

Absenteeism and technical anomalies

It is not aid payments that are affected by the delays, but file modifications or new applications.

This delay is due to “exceptional” absenteeism but also to “technical anomalies that last”, confides the manager, who can count on 250 agents in the Drôme.

CAF services can still be reached at 3230 and on caf.fr.
