"In the past, at least 150 tons of water was needed for flood irrigation, but now only 20 to 25 tons of water is needed for sprinkler irrigation, which can save 120 to 130 tons of water." Sun Jianlin said, "The flood irrigation method not only consumes a lot of water, but also infiltrates. The large amount of fertilizer also causes serious fertilizer loss. Now this spray irrigation method saves water and improves the utilization rate of fertilizers, thereby increasing grain output. Last year, our corn yield increased by about 400 catties, and wheat yield increased by nearly 200%. catty."
"A year's farming operations can now drive more than 30 jobs, and the per capita income will increase by more than 20,000 yuan." Gong Geng, village secretary of Qibao Village, Duliu Town, Jinghai District, Tianjin, said that the village's economy has improved a lot under the drive of Sun Jianlin. He also has more support for his investment in agriculture, hoping to better develop the rural circular economy in the future.

Qibao Village currently has about 5,285 mu of arable land, with a population of about 1,928 villagers and an annual per capita income of about 9,673 yuan.
"I don't think there are any enterprises in the village, and the development is relatively slow. If we make a fuss from the land, the village should be able to develop faster." This idea took root in Sun Jianlin's heart.
In 2014, Sun Jianlin established the Tianjin Military Grain and Treasure Grain Planting Professional Cooperative, integrating more than 1,700 mu of land.
Over the next year, another 1,000 acres of land were consolidated.
However, there are unforeseen circumstances. In 2015, affected by the price of food, the cooperative lost more than one million yuan.
In addition, the land at that time was relatively dry, and the output could not reach the expected target, resulting in consecutive losses for the next three years.
"At that time, my family also persuaded me to stop doing it if I couldn't do it, but I am more 'willful'. After all, I grew up in Qibao Village, and I have a sense of responsibility for this land, so I gritted my teeth and wanted to persevere. Keep doing it." Regarding the economic downturn, Sun Jianlin showed a great positive attitude and firm belief: "Although the price of food has come down, I don't think it will be this low forever, so let's find a way to pay for the land. The output will definitely get better if we stick to the past. So since then we have started to study the equipment for watering and the canals for transportation, and we just paid more than one million tuition fees." In the village "two committees" and the town government With the strong support of relevant departments, the cooperative reached a balance of payments in 2018, and finally turned a profit in 2019.
With the continuous improvement of economic benefits, the cooperative has gained the trust of more people in the village, and Sun Jianlin has also successively revitalized the idle land in Qibao Village and surrounding villages.
So far, the cooperative has consolidated nearly 4,000 mu of land.
Through continuous summarization of experience, Sun Jianlin deeply realized that in order to increase grain production and efficiency, it is necessary to abandon the old way of traditional planting and develop scientific farming.
The traditional flood irrigation method, the soil is easy to harden, which is not conducive to maintaining moisture.
Sun Jianlin hopes to achieve more efficient water-saving irrigation.
So he kept up with the trend of agricultural development, and with his expertise, he invented and created a scientific, environmentally friendly, economical and practical field "artifact".
Among them, the "walking" sprinkler irrigation equipment jointly developed by him and the technical backbone of the cooperative was officially put into use in 2019 after a year of repeated verification and debugging.
One person and one piece of equipment can easily and efficiently complete the sprinkler irrigation operation, saving costs and increasing production and efficiency in Sun Jianlin's fields to achieve the best of both worlds.
As a short video enthusiast, Sun Jianlin also made a video of the sprinkler and uploaded it to the online platform, and shared it with farmers all over the country, attracting farmers in Hebei, Henan, Shandong and other places to visit and inspect, and also purchased Sun Jianlin's equipment.
Sun Jianlin also provided free technical guidance to farmers around the world through WeChat.
He said that good technical methods should be shared with each other, so as not to make detours.
