"The seaweed cake you must buy when you go to Ziyang Street, it really shouldn't be too fragrant!" Clicking on the recommendation page of a social software, watching the long queue, Chen Yi, a "post-00" tourist from Xianju, Taizhou, Zhejiang, made up his mind : Even if you queue for half an hour, try it.

Chinese people can't live without "eating" during the festival.

In the past, it was considered a trend to go to a western restaurant and eat steak. Now, with the "awakening" of traditional culture, traditional food is becoming a new "food" favored by "Generation Z".

Located in Taizhou, Linhai is a thousand-year-old ancient city and the first county-level city in Zhejiang to be approved as a national historical and cultural city.

In the Jiangnan Great Wall Scenic Spot near the sea, there is a thousand-year-old street, Ziyang Street.

Grass paste, wheat shrimp, wheat oil, handmade black rice and mochi... On June 5, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, while strolling on Ziyang Street, the reporter found that all kinds of traditional delicacies have become the "no-no" for young people to punch in the sea. The second choice", the "appeal" of some chain restaurants is not as good as before.

"Plum blossom cakes are freshly baked. Don't miss out on the special snacks of Linhai..." Following the hawker's reputation, an aunt wearing an apron stood in front of the wooden window and shouted, and the movements of her hands did not stop for a moment.

In front of the window, there are all young people, some of them stretched their necks and took pictures of the production process with their mobile phones.

This is a brown sugar-filled snack named for its plum-like shape.

Mix flour, baking powder and water into a slurry, pour it into the hot plum blossom mold, add the filling bean paste, and then cover the cake mold with a hot iron plate and bake until cooked, and the plum blossom cake is out of the oven.

"The outer skin is crispy, but the inside is glutinous. It is said that Taizhou is a 'glutinous' city, and it really lives up to its reputation." A "post-95" tourist who works in Taizhou said that traditional food is often the concentration of a city's culture .

Every time you travel, it is not in vain if you have "checked in" the local specialty snacks.

With the same idea, there are also tourists queuing in front of the seaweed cake shop in Ziyang Street.

The reporter observed that most of the people who are willing to spend half an hour or more to buy a seaweed cake are young people, and most of them follow the food guide.

Chen Yi is one of them. She also prepared a "must punch" food list, and plans to eat it in Linhai one by one.

"It's not just the food, it's the atmosphere. Like the seaweed cake, if I buy it online, or eat it in another city, it doesn't feel as 'authentic'."

Feeling the local food culture has become the original intention of tourists to check in.

The reporter found that in Linhai, a thousand-year-old ancient city, traditional food is not necessarily old-fashioned, there are also innovative ingredients.

In front of a house with white walls and black tiles on Ziyang Street, a couple is taking a group photo with egg white sheep tail latte and white water tofu latte in their hands.

On the white wall is a poster that reads: Once again a tribute to Taizhou traditions.

Egg white sheep tail and white water tofu are special snacks in Linhai, and latte is considered an "exotic product".

Why are the two combined?

In the words of one of ZC Coffee's partners, Xixi (alias), it is for "meeting young people".

Xixi is a native of Linhai.

In 2013, she co-founded a cafe with like-minded friends.

At that time, the coffee wind was not popular locally.

Around 2016, ZC Coffee began to think about whether to put local elements in Western-style coffee to make original products with local characteristics.

Since then, the store has consciously combined Taizhou's food culture with beverage creativity.

In 2009, the craftsmanship of Baishui Yang tofu was included in the third batch of intangible cultural heritage in Zhejiang Province.

In Taizhou, it is not only an ancient traditional ingredient, but also one of the representative delicacies with local characteristics.

In this way, Baishui Tofu Latte was born.

The drink mixes two white water tofu products at the bottom and a latte in the middle.

According to reports, in order to ensure that every cup is "real", the raw tofu is "June Beans" produced locally in Linhai, which are all made by the inheritors of Baishui foreign tofu.

Xixi hopes that with the help of the creative combination of Taizhou food culture and beverages, the traditional food of Baishui Yang tofu can be "out of the circle", and more young tourists can eat "intangible cultural heritage" and take it home, so that the traditional " representative".
