On June 3, Tanya Tsai's three English albums "Bored", "Luck" and "Jupiter" were officially launched on the global digital platform.
It is reported that this year is the 25th year of Cai Jianya's debut. She bought back the mastering copyright of her first three English-made albums and put them on digital shelves as a gift for herself and her fans.
Before releasing her first Chinese album "Cai Tanya" in 1999, Cai Tanya released three English albums "Bored", "Luck" and "Jupiter" overseas in 1997.
These three albums can be said to be three golden keys, which opened the door for her to enter the Chinese pop music scene.
At that time, Cai Jianya was in the transition period from a resident singer to a singer-songwriter. Although she had not yet grasped the music theory, she completed the creation of her first English album "Bored" with a guitar and unique creativity.
After the album was released, it quickly won the favor of the record company. Not only were the songs selected for cover by Xu Ruyun and Yi Nengjing, but Cai Jianya also got a contract for a Chinese album and officially debuted in the Chinese music scene.
Later, she went to the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music for further studies.
After releasing his first Chinese album of the same name in 1999, he released his second English album "Luck" at the end of the same year.
Songs such as "You Go Away", "It's Not About You", and "So Boring" in these two albums are all written in English first, and then handed over to Chinese lyricists to fill in the lyrics.
After the baptism of three Chinese albums, Cai Jianya tried more genres and more diverse arrangements in "Jupiter" released in 2002, which also showed her more musical orientations in addition to pop rock and folk songs. .
Cai Tanya said that these three English albums fully reflect his state of enlightenment in music creation: that is, to keep an open mind and not set limits on what kind of music he must make.
For a long time in the past, the digital platform authorization of the three albums has not been implemented, and many fans can only see information about the three albums in English through the Internet, but cannot hear the songs.
Therefore, Tanya Tsai decided to buy back the mastering copyright and re-release it as a 25th anniversary gift for herself and her fans.
She said: "For creators, it is of great significance to let more people hear the original self. This time, I hope everyone can find their favorite songs in it."
In addition to re-listing old albums, Tanya Cai also ushered in another good news on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of her debut: her new album "DEPART" released last year was nominated for eight nominations in the 33rd "Golden Melody Awards", leading the current "Golden Melody Awards" ".
She revealed that she is very proud of the two nominations for the Best Singing Recording Album Award and the Best Album of the Year Award, which represent the first time that her work as an album coordinator and producer has been certified.
