At about 10:30 on June 4, the D2809 passenger train from Guiyang North to Guangzhou South was traveling at the entrance of the Yuezhai Tunnel in front of the Rongjiang Station of Qiandongnan Prefecture on the Guiyang-Guangzhou (Zhou) Line. The debris flow that invaded the line caused the No. 7 and No. 8 cars to go off the line.

After the incident, the local fire rescue team dispatched 11 vehicles and 52 people to the scene immediately.

  One driver, one conductor and seven passengers were injured in the accident.

The injured passengers and conductors have been properly treated, and their lives are not in danger. The driver of the train died unfortunately.

The other 136 passengers on the train have been evacuated.

  At present, the rescue work at the scene has been fully launched, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
