Iceland has a lot to offer.

Breathtaking landscapes, geysers or the KR Reykjavik, just to name a few attractions.

With its 27 championships, the football club can even almost compete with the local subscription champions Bayern (32).

But apparently that's not enough.

So the tourism experts of the island state have come up with another "highlight".

Outhorse your Email is the name of their latest PR gimmick and is aimed at everyone who can't (or doesn't want to) let go of business emails while on vacation.

So basically a fairly broad target group.

With an elaborately designed website, the Icelandic tourism authority promises the following offer: a program with which employees should spice up their absence notice.

All you need to do is enter your name, the length of your absence and an e-mail address on a website and – this is the crucial point – choose one of three Icelandic horses beforehand.

For example, Litla Stjarna fra Hvitarholti is available, light brown fur and, according to the website, fast, but also very inclined to the occasional nap.

When awake, run across not only an Icelandic pasture, but also a giant computer keyboard, just like the other two horses up for 'choice'.

On this, the horses stomp meaningless messages in the style of "wFwhxsqjnzgm".

The results, i.e. the “animal absence notes”, should then be displayed in the classic way during the holiday period.

Included is a note that an Icelandic horse has taken over the task of answering emails for the duration of the absence.

It is up to the users of the program to add the addendum to their notes.

In any case, you are hereby forewarned, just in case.
