It was not necessary to arrive late at the March 26 stadium in Bamako, where Mali's first match in group G of the next

CAN 2023 qualifiers

took place .

This June 4 in the Malian capital, the Congolese very quickly understood that they were going to have a bad time.

The correction started from the 38th second with the opener signed Mohamed Camara.

At the entrance to the surface, the Salzburg striker unleashed a heavy strike without control which left the Congolese goalkeeper speechless (1st).

El Bilal Touré sees double

It was then the young El Bilal Touré who scored the break goal.

He took advantage of the splendid overflow of Yves Bissouma in the area on the right side and the impeccable service of his teammate to double the bet (11th).

The same Touré, after finding the post at quarter of an hour, punished Congo again afterwards: Rayan Bidounga lost the ball full axis, and El Bilal Touré, after a control, brought the score to 3 -0 thanks to a new huge strike (39th).

And just before the break, a new cross from Bissouma found the victorious header from Kalifa Coulibaly (44th).

With this final score acquired in the first act, Mali no longer had much to fear.

On returning from the locker room, Congo-Brazzaville did not really show sufficient resources to hope for a hellish comeback.

The Red Devils did not target a single shot in the entire game.

Excellent operation therefore for the Malian Eagles, at the head of group G after this resounding victory without appeal.

They are at the top of this pool before the second day, during which they will face South Sudan,

beaten on the first day by Gambia (1-0)

.

The match will be held in Uganda on June 9, while Congo will play against Gambia the day before in Brazzaville.
