The "Dragon Soaring Tiger Leaping" 2022 cross-strait dragon boat race will usher in the finals here. After three rounds of competition, 12 teams from both sides of the strait in the men's and women's teams stood out and participated in the final competition.

  [Commentary] As the order was issued that day, the dragon boats were like arrows from the string. The contestants worked hard to lower their waists, lifted the oars to break the water, and drove the dragon boats to compete for speed.

In the end, the Jimei Street dragon boat men's and women's teams won the men's and women's championships.

  [Explanation] The Dragon Boat Race has a long history and profound cultural connotations. It has been passed down from generation to generation on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and is deeply loved by the people.

The Dragon Boat Pool, Jimei District, Xiamen City, where the event was held, was organized and built by Mr. Tan Kah Kee, a patriotic overseas Chinese, in 1950. It is the first artificial pool dedicated to dragon boat competitions in mainland China.

In 2006, Xiamen Jimei held the first cross-strait dragon boat race here, and now it has become an important platform to promote cross-strait exchanges and inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
