Local elected officials from Chepoix (Oise) and surrounding municipalities are mobilizing against a wind turbine project under study on municipal territory.
In general, they intend to express their refusal to develop this type of installation in this part of the department.

An unheard opposition
The idea of this gathering was launched by the mayors of Chepoix, Vendeuil-Caply and Beauvoir (Oise).
In addition to residents, elected officials from other surrounding municipalities, including Ansauvillers, Bonvillers and Bacouël (Oise) should participate in the event.
The protesters denounce projects developed against the will of the municipalities.
Guillaume Ménard, mayor of Vendeuil-Caply, explained that motions against wind turbines had been voted in several cities.
Other municipalities have expressed their firm opposition to devices that serve "private interests and most municipalities only harvest nuisances", lamented the city councilor.
