So they run at full speed, brushing sweat from their faces with their overworked hands, constantly urging themselves on, constantly motivating.
No one is chasing them, no one is competing and no one is afraid of their excitement of threats.
But they are still trying and issuing more and more new packages of sanctions, restrictions, which have long lost all their meaning, on the contrary, the sanctions policy has made the West its hostage.
It is difficult to break out of this self-destructive and contradictory-multiplier race.
They cause hypothetical damage to Russia, based on their ideas about it, but for themselves - quite tangible, and even with a loss of reputation.
In general, Western sanctions have become a special reality, which, like rust, corrodes the world economy, doing things that until recently seemed unshakable, insignificant.
They become a special moment of truth both for Russia and for the West itself.
But some learn from this lesson, while others prefer not to notice, staying further in their case.
We have been living in the sanctions reality for eight years now.
During this time, we were able to understand the main thing - the value of our own, sovereign.
After all, everything else easily becomes a lever of manipulation and enslavement.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, our country did everything to fit into the world economy, hoped for equal treatment, believed that the basic principles are the same for everyone.
But in fact, we were increasingly falling into a system of addictions, through which they wanted to completely and completely control us, deprive us of our will and voice, and paralyze us.
The situation in 2014, when various kinds of sanctions began to be stamped with particular ferocity on our country, had a sobering effect.
We seem to have woken up, returned to reality, began to gradually get out of the global economic swamp.
Sanctions made us free, freed us from many illusions.
After that, with varying success rates, we took the path of a sovereign economy and import substitution.
Now they have finally understood that in the field of economics it is impossible to compete with cheaters and swindlers who not only do not follow obligations and do not recognize them, but are also ready to rob under any plausible pretext, perceiving this as special valor.
So we empirically came to another extremely important conclusion: we must sit down at the negotiating table and deal not with an assembly of the wicked, but with those who can be trusted, who keep their word, do not go into hysterics and diktat.
with reliable partners.
And an amazing thing: after realizing this, the world expanded, a grandiose geographical turning point took place, equivalent to the times of great geographical discoveries.
It turned out that the world is huge and diverse, that it is not limited to Western civilization, that the bias towards Western centrism gives a very strange and crippled picture of reality and greatly narrows the horizons.
No, we, of course, had previously suspected that the world was not only an Anglo-Saxon civilization, but since the time of perestroika seduction by the specter of universal human values, it was suggested that it was there that the center of the universe, an example to follow, the highest class and a sign of quality, and everything else goes to the second and next digits.
Now we see that in the world there are a lot of equal sovereign centers that are not ready to dance to the tune every time on the go-ahead from the American Olympus.
So it turned out that humanity is not a hut of a unipolar world, but many individual and unique voices.
This expansion of geographic coordinates, a shift in the center and the understanding that there can be many centers, and humanity is not at all a pyramid, on top of which are celestials, further on are vassals, dependent and controlled countries, and at the very bottom - the axis of evil, gave tremendous freedom.
Russia, which they wanted to drive into the territory of exclusion, received additional scope for activity.
She seemed to open herself to the world, and the world to her.
On the other hand, although the sanctions made the West their hostage, they showed what illusions it was in, far from reality.
Illusions that became monstrous.
I remember that even President Obama tore the Russian economy to shreds.
They lived in the reality that it is a country-gas station, does not represent anything, goes to its sunset, which was thought natural.
In their fantasies, Russia was going along the same perestroika path, renouncing everything of its own, neglecting its own, shunning it, along the path of abolishing its own, and soon had to repeat the fate of the Soviet Union.
So they dreamed and looked at us through these lenses, and therefore did not take into account, and pressed, lied and pushed, pushed, keeping in mind that our country cannot have any national interests, and she herself is like a carcass, ready to the section.
But Russia returned to its thousand-year civilizational path of sovereignty, while they tore us to shreds...
Of course, the sanctions are initially a mistake of the West.
He not only completely repelled Russia with them, but also completely freed him, and now with each new package he opens up more and more promising scope for activity and development.
After all, the West has not abandoned its illusions even now.
He, like Obama at one time, thought that shreds would go along the back streets.
That unprecedented and lawless sanctions pressure will blow our economy to dust.
But a new revelation came, it turned out that Russia is not as weak economically as the West would like to see.
That the sanctions sledgehammer rebounds on them, and Russia, which has chosen the sovereign path, is only getting stronger.
Even earlier, they inspired themselves that from a military point of view, our country is no longer anything of itself.
They convinced each other
that our society can be easily and naturally manipulated: one has only to beckon with a carrot, lie from three boxes, and people will run headlong, destroying everything in their path.
Russia, on the other hand, has acquired the necessary maturity, it has suffered through the realization of the significance of its sovereign and independent, the importance of its own.
At this time, the European Union, out of its reality and stereotypical views, is adopting the sixth package of sanctions against our country.
Where nostalgia for the times of the collapse of the USSR is frankly felt, one of the reasons for which was the drop in revenue from oil sales.
After all, even now they believe that we are sitting on an oil needle, that the same gas station, hence the stake on the oil embargo to our own detriment.
They believe that our banking sector is so weak that it is worth disconnecting several of the largest banks from SWIFT, including Sberbank, and everything will fall apart.

Well, yes, they truly believe that Russian military personnel are sending trains of toilet bowls and all kinds of junk to their homeland from Ukraine, because we have wildness and abomination of desolation around us, through which the wind of propaganda drives clouds of dust,
They believe, but we prevent them from watching these fabulous dreams, which is why they become more and more indignant and angry, giving out a new sanction attack with gnashing of teeth.
How not to get overwhelmed...
Russia, on the other hand, does not close itself, does not build reinforced concrete curtains, but everything calls for common sense.
So the Foreign Ministry, in its statement, noted the self-destructive nature of the sanctions, called on European countries to think about their own population, which will bear the brunt of the consequences.
But while talking to few people is possible, you will not find sanity there in the afternoon with fire.
Now sanctions are their dialogue with themselves.
The manifestation of their complexes, fears, stereotypes, as well as hidden and shameful desires.

They argue with their ideas about us.
