Egypt.. The Fishermen's Syndicate confirms the authenticity of the video of fish worms

The Fishermen's Syndicate confirmed in, the authenticity of a video circulating on social networking sites and sparked a wide wave of controversy for a fisherman in the village of Mit Desis in Dakahlia Governorate, stating that there were worms inside the fish in the Nile River inside the village, which sparked panic among the pioneers of social networking sites.

 Ahmed Al-Maghraby, captain of the General Syndicate of Fishermen, confirmed the authenticity of the video circulating on social media, explaining that it is a real and modern video, of a fishing trip that a fisherman in the village of Mit Dessis took on last Tuesday.

The captain of the General Syndicate of Fishermen explained to “Cairo 24” that the reason for the presence of these worms inside the fish is the pollution of fresh water, as a result of dumping waste and the accumulation of sewage, stressing that it is absolutely harmless, and fish can be eaten after cutting the fish’s gills, and the worms in the fish They are parasites that reside inside the gills, and they infect fish as soon as the water is contaminated.

Al-Maghraby pointed out that there should be a committee from the Ministry of Agriculture to remove and disinfect the pollution in the area surrounding the fish, stressing the pollution of the Nile waters, within the area where the video was filmed.

The captain of the fishermen stressed that harmful worms are found inside salted fish, not fish inside the water, pointing out that the temperatures of cooking food kill any parasites and bacteria inside the fish.
