US swimmer dies after being attacked by crocodile while trying to find Frisbee

Florida police in the United States have expressed their suspicion that a crocodile devoured a man, who went down a river in search of a Frisbee he was playing with.

CNN reported, citing a Largo Police Department press release, that a man searching Lake Florida for Frisbees may have died as a result of a possible alligator attack.

The remains of the victim's body, which authorities identified as 47-year-old Sean McGuinness, were discovered along the coast of Lake Taylor in Largo, Florida, by a passerby walking his dog early Tuesday morning, officials said.

Largo is located outside of Tampa, Florida.

Investigators believe the victim was searching for a Frisbee sometime during the night when he was attacked by a crocodile.

"While the medical examiner will determine the cause of death, it was certain that the man's injuries were clearly crocodile-related," the statement said.

The statement said that officials will continue to monitor additional crocodiles in the area.
