Singer Michel Polnareff offers an immersive experience at the Palace called "Polnarêves".

On this occasion, the theater in the 9th arrondissement of Paris was completely transformed to accommodate this device imagined by the singer to be discovered until March 2023. Europe 1 interfered in the subconscious of the legendary singer.

The place does not seem to have been chosen at random.

Le Palace, a former disco temple, let singer Michel Polnareff and the designers of this experience transform the space, like the impression of entering a nightclub in the middle of the day.

Jean-Pierre, the security guard at the site welcomes Europe 1, rather enthusiastic, although not used to working in direct sunlight: "A few meters away, it's dark, there are videos in all directions and people in come out amazed."

But before penetrating into the unconscious of the mythical singer in white sunglasses, you have to take a long corridor.

Whispers from the artist before entering the room

“Here is the mures wall”, explains Héloïse from the Polnarêves team.

"You have to put your ear to the wall and Michel Polnareff will talk to you."

The artist whispers his notes, his thoughts, fantasies.

An amuse-bouche before entering the performance hall entirely covered in white sheets.

"700 square meters", specifies Marc Bénaïche, the designer and artistic director of the experience.

"These are dreams 14 meters high at 360 degrees, which make us lose our heads and our senses."

Marc Benaïche collaborated with the singer, who told him about his dreams, his desires: "It was great to work with him, he really took us by the hand and took us into his universe. There were no limits. All the more incredible and flamboyant that we worked hand in hand until the end. I showed him everything: the models, the storyboards... And we communicated every week on this project."

Lush forests and the Sistine Chapel

The installation impresses: loud music, a few jets of smoke and an immense space.

The stretched white sheets cover the entire room and serve as a projection canvas for these videos, broadcast from floor to ceiling.

"It's lycra, we call it drapery in the theater. But these are not sheets in which we sleep, eh!", smiles Marc Benaïche.

So, what is Michel Polnareff dreaming of?

Cosmic journeys, long fields of poppies, lush and relaxing forests and then paintings of the Sistine Chapel… Sorts of music videos, the songs scroll by, accompanied by recurring symbols, such as white sunglasses or her blond hair.

We hesitate between the desire to dance and the desire to soar.

We will choose to do both: the experience lasts several tens of minutes and some seats in the theater are still free.
