Because of its red face and other aliases such as red-faced monkey and red-faced monkey, the cynomolgus mainly inhabits tropical rain forests, monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forests, deciduous broad-leaved forests and other environments. It is mainly distributed in South China and Southwest China.
