A “3R” space (“breathe, relativize, relax”) opened on Tuesday at the Paul-Guiraud hospital in Villejuif (Val-de-Marne).

It was inaugurated in the presence of Brigitte Macron, who chairs the Hospital Foundation, reports

Le Parisien

.

It is this foundation that is behind the design of this 71 m2 space intended for the 1,700 caregivers of the Ile-de-France hospital.

The project cost more than 71,000 euros.

The places were designed by the architect Sarah Poniatowski.

The room, accessible at any time, offers large sofas, massage chairs, "nap cocoons", all in soothing colours.

Use of donations

No less than 150 similar spaces, intended for caregivers, have already been financed by the Hospital Foundation.

“We thought with them, following the waves of donations received during the confinements, declared Brigitte Macron on Tuesday.

They explained to us that they needed to improve their quality of life at work.

»

If the idea is not frowned upon by caregivers, many are wondering when they will be able to take advantage of it, as there is a shortage of staff and the breaks are short.

Information that they did not fail to remind the First Lady.

The space is also quite out of the way in relation to the various services.
