Europe 1 12:00 p.m., June 01, 2022

On the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II, "Historically Yours" switches to English time.

See you Thursday, June 2 from 4 p.m. with Stéphane Bern and Matthieu Noël.

On the occasion of this special program, Stéphane Bern, Matthieu Noël and their band of columnists will tell the three stories of the escapades of three personalities who have caused a lot of concern to the Queen:

  • The Queen's younger sister,

    Princess Margaret

, who just crowned embarrassed the latter.

  • King Hassan II

of Morocco, who received the Queen during a state visit to Morocco which went very badly to be later named: "The tour from hell".

  • Prince Andrew

: the Queen's favorite son despite the many scandals that taint British royalty.

For his part, Matthieu Noël will paint a 99% TRUE portrait of a prince known for "making headlines", now forbidden to appear alongside the queen during the jubilee: Prince Andrew.

Journalist and correspondent Marc Roche will also be part of the London duplex party.

He is the author of "Les Borgias à Buckingham", published by Albin Michel.

For the occasion, the columnists are staying in England:

David Castello-Lopes

will tell the origins of the umbrella,

Olivier Poels

will reveal the recipe for lamb with mint, and

Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach

will immerse listeners in the Intimacy of the Queen with the film "Elizabeth Regard(s) Singulier(s)" by Roger Michell.

Not to mention the quiz "Bern to be alive" 100% Queen!

About Historically Yours: Every day, from 4 p.m., Stéphane Bern and Matthieu Noël, surrounded by their historically funny and perfectly informed columnists, have fun with History – big, small, average… – and trace the extraordinary destinies of personalities who could never have met, for two hours where knowledge and humor go hand in hand.

A program to follow on Europe 1, Europe 1.fr and the station's social networks.
