In "Bienfait pour vous" on Tuesday, beauty columnist Benjamin Lévêque wanted to test the anti-aging doctor.

A specialty which makes it possible to determine the real age of one's body, and therefore to slow down the aging of the latter.

"The idea is to make sure to live as long as possible, in good shape and in good health," he explains.

What is the principle of anti-aging medicine?

"It has nothing to do with cosmetic surgery", specifies Benjamin Lévêque, beauty columnist for

Bienfait pour vous,

"even if they are often confused", he concedes.

"In an anti-aging medicine consultation, we will see how your body ages. Of course, we cannot stop aging, but we can slow it down", explains the columnist.

"The idea is to ensure that you live as long as possible, in good shape and in good health."

"The anti-aging doctor will determine your biological age and compare it with the age on your passport."

The idea?

"Knowing whether your body is aging too quickly or not."

And if it's the case,

Very thorough examinations

“The average age of patients is rather around 40/50 years old, but we advise to do it even at 25/30 years old”, since we can already have an aging which accelerates around this age.

Our columnist went to the Epigenetic house in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

He had an appointment with anti-aging doctor Valérie Leduc.

The consultation, which lasts three hours, begins with a very personal and in-depth questioning: "You reveal your whole life, all your meals, if you eat organic, how do you cook your food", says Benjamin Leveque.

Your relationship to stress is also evaluated, as is information about your genetics or the diseases you may have had during your life.

There are also slightly unusual questions, such as: "How many times a day do you smile?"

The doctor also looked into the social life of our columnist, to find out if he had good relations with his family or friends.

All this "plays on life expectancy", he explains.

A study by Harvard University over several years has shown that "those who have lived the longest in good health are those who have developed very good quality friendships and family relationships", recalls Valérie Luc.

"That's what made them happy and healthy, and those who didn't develop all those good relationships died or got sick first."

Between 200 and 250 euros

During the consultation, Benjamin Lévêque's skin was analyzed, especially "that of the face, wrinkles and spots".

Everything was examined by a kind of scanner.

Verdict: the skin of our columnist is 33 years old, more than his real age, in particular because of his pigment spots.

On the side of his arteries, for example, he is 35 years old.

At the brain level, after cognitive tests, he discovered that his brain is 23 years old.

After these findings, we take care of what is wrong with his exams, “where the biological age is higher than the age of your passport, in an attempt to delay the aging of his organs”.

Benjamin Lévêque must, for example, follow a suitable diet, so as not to clog his arteries.

He will also be taking dietary supplements, and it has been recommended that he use the laser to remove his stains.

For an anti-aging check-up, it takes on average between 200 and 250 euros, depending on the firm, almost everywhere in France.
