According to the press conference, the Tianjin Third Intermediate People's Court established an environmental resources collegial panel in the Civil Court on April 4, 2019, to focus on the first and second instance civil cases of ecological environment, such as natural environment pollution infringement under the jurisdiction of the court.
In the past three years, the Environmental and Resources Collegiate Tribunal of the Third Civil Court of the Tianjin Third Intermediate Court has concluded a total of 10 first- and second-instance cases concerning environmental resources.
The number of cases continued to grow, and the noise pollution liability disputes accounted for a large proportion and grew rapidly.
In 2021, 3 cases will be accepted, accounting for 43% of the total number of cases received in the whole year.
Among them, new types of cases such as ecological environment damage compensation disputes, judicial confirmation of ecological environment damage compensation settlement agreements, environmental pollution liability disputes, noise pollution liability disputes, and ecological damage civil public interest litigations accounted for a relatively large proportion.
