Zhongxin Finance, May 31st. The website of the General Administration of Customs issued a message on the 31st to remind consumers not to buy peanut butter related batches of the American Jif brand.

  The JMSmucker Co., a U.S. food manufacturer, announced that it was voluntarily recalling some batches of Jif brand peanut butter due to suspected salmonella contamination.

Confirmed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recalled products are manufactured by JMSmucker at its Lexington, Kentucky factory, with the first seven batch numbers being 1274425 to 2140425 and the fifth to seventh being 425.

  After verification, the above batches of products have been exported to China through general trade; the importer is Wal-Mart (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

Importers have initiated voluntary recalls.
