Sudan, DRC, Chad… are some of the countries on the continent to have reestablished relations with Israel in recent years.

Tel Aviv recently opened embassies in Rabat and Kigali.

The Israeli government now maintains diplomatic relations with 43 African countries.

A real revival after years of estrangement.

The country could even soon have observer status within the African Union.

A sensitive subject, however, some countries like Algeria being fiercely opposed to this idea.

To continue this operation of seduction towards the continent, a conference on the challenges of Israel in Africa is organized this Tuesday in Paris.

Ben Bourgel, Israel's ambassador to Senegal, participates in the event.
