Epidemic prevention and control does not hinder the expansion of recruitment by large factories. Interviewers interpret cloud interviews

Spring 2022 school recruitment has come to an end.

The Beijing Youth Daily reporter learned that most of the offers from major Internet companies have been issued.

In the spring recruitment this year, some large factories have expanded their recruitment, and the demand for technical and R&D positions is strong.

Affected by the epidemic, some companies have adopted cloud recruitment, cloud interviews, and cloud written tests.

As one of the key employment groups this year, the number of college graduates in 2022 is expected to be 10.76 million, an increase of 1.67 million year-on-year, with both the total and the increment reaching a record high.

This year is also the year that the first batch of post-00 college students entered the workplace. While facing greater job-seeking pressure, the post-00s have a more open job-seeking mentality.

Strong demand for technical positions in large factories

After the process of resume delivery, written test, interview, etc., at present, the spring recruitment of big companies such as ByteDance, Baidu, JD.com, and Meituan has ended, and they have entered the stage of issuance of employment notices and entry procedures.

"We officially launched the Spring Recruitment on March 7th. From March 22nd, we have arranged an online written test every Tuesday, and students can participate according to their own convenient time. Interviews will be arranged one after another from the beginning of April. After the interview and the final evaluation, the candidates will be accepted. The students in the notification session will receive a notification within a week after the interview. The whole spring recruitment will end in late April." The person in charge of Baidu recruitment introduced to the Beiqing Daily reporter.

ByteDance is open to full-time supplementary registration and summer internships for 2022 graduates and 2023 graduates respectively. The recruitment covers more than 60 types of positions, with a total of more than 6,000 jobs, and the work locations cover more than 20 cities across the country.

It is worth noting that R&D positions are highly valued, and the demand is twice that of last year.

The person in charge of Meituan recruitment told the Beijing Youth Daily that 50% to 60% of technical positions were recruited this spring, and back-end development engineers and algorithm positions were the top two in terms of recruitment.

"As a technology company, we rely on technology to improve the efficiency of the entire industry," said the person in charge.

This year, JD.com launched its largest spring recruitment since its establishment, and plans to recruit more than 20,000 college graduates.

In addition to the technical positions that still account for half of the recruitment, this year JD.com not only opened up aviation and engineering positions to fresh graduates on a large scale, but also increased the number of positions in new first-tier cities.

Adopting "cloud interviews" during the epidemic

Affected by the epidemic prevention and control, many companies recruited in the spring this year adopted zero-contact cloud recruitment and cloud interviews.

In the live video of the interview released by Baidu Recruitment, dozens of tables and chairs are placed in a hall, and the interviewers use computers in their respective positions to video online with the candidates. Three rounds of interviews are conducted here.

The group interviews for product positions were held in the conference room, and several interviewers watched the candidates’ performance through video.

"When you have an online group meeting, your personal image and video background are very important, and you must be concise, clean, and decent," said a product interviewer.

Not only are the major factories and schools recruiting, but under the influence of the epidemic, many companies and platforms are innovating recruiting methods, including "live broadcast with jobs".

It is understood that in the first quarter of this year, the number of monthly active users of the Kuaishou live recruiting platform "Kuijiagong" has exceeded 100 million, and the number of resumes received in a single day during the Spring Festival was as high as 150,000.

From May 24th to June 15th, in order to help enterprises resume work and production, Kuaishou subsidized 1 billion traffic, launched more than 600 live broadcast recruitment sessions, and more than 100 high-quality employment companies, providing nearly 200,000 jobs, mainly for blue-collar people.

Post-00s are more open to job hunting

It is understood that as one of the key employment groups this year, the number of college graduates in 2022 is about 10.76 million, an increase of 1.67 million year-on-year, and both the total and the increment are new highs.

This means that this class of graduates is facing greater job-hunting pressure.

The "2022 Spring Employment Market Trend Observation" released by the BOSS Direct Employment Research Institute shows that the overall popularity of the employment market has increased significantly during the spring recruitment season this year. In particular, the job-hunting competition among white-collar workers is more intense than last year.

In addition, the report found that high-end manufacturing recruitment demand has grown rapidly, with the scale of recruitment increasing by 40% year-on-year.

This year is also the year when the first batch of post-00 college students graduated and entered the workplace.

According to the "Post-00s Group Employment Choice Preference Survey Report" released by BOSS Direct Employment Research Institute in April this year, compared with their predecessors, post-00s have a more open job-seeking attitude, their acceptance of second- and third-tier cities has been significantly improved, and they are more pursuing work and life. balance.

At the same time, they pay special attention to personal growth and the matching of careers and interests, and their emphasis on monetary rewards has declined. They are willing to try side jobs or flexible employment, and pay less attention to professional counterpart work and long-term career planning.
